Nutmeg Book Awards

Our library  participates in the Nutmeg Book Awards program!

Last year Connecticut teens chose twenty fantastic works of fiction to be this year's nominees for the Nutmeg Book Awards. The books are divided into 2 categories: grades 4-6 and grades 7-8. (However, many of these books are appropriate for students in other age groups.) In January 2010, Connecticut students  will vote for their favorites.  The winning book in each category will receive the coveted and respected Nutmeg Book Award.
